Most likely, you will need to access your circuit breaker. It is extremely helpful to know where this is located and move anything obstructing access of it.
If you have one of these, it will let you know if it is a problem with a particular plug or group of plugs.
Use to unscrew the cover plates on plugs or switches and to remove the actual plug or switch, if needed.
If you need to turn off a breaker, your lights in the area will go off, in which case, you may need a flashlight. Keep in mind that you cannot use the same device for both a flashlight and video conferencing.
These test for current, voltage, and resistance which are extremely helpful for knowing which parts of your system are in need of repair.
Always helpful to have a paper and pencil handy so that you can jot down a few quick notes as the Pro guides you through troubleshooting.
